Access and sign-up
You can refer to this help video that explains the registration process: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ek7X_YG2q0Ypovy7shYFt3hW-fKiuS4j/view Step 1 – If your child does not already have an XSEED ID, go to https://register.xseededucation.com/ and enter your XSEED User Code (The user code is written on the Universal Access Card, which you would have received with your XSEED Bookpack. If you do not have the access card handy, use UN7T9W2). Complete the registration process to get an XSEED ID.
Step 2 – After the XSEED ID has been created, you will need to enter a School Access Key. Please contact your school to get this access key.
Step 3 – Download the Universal app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and log in with your phone number or email address. You can also use the web version of Universal at https://universal.xseededucation.com to log in.
If you do not receive an OTP, wait at least a minute before requesting another one. In case you’ve made multiple requests, please enter the latest OTP received.
If the error persists, please write to us at contact@xseededucation.com.
Go to accounts.xseededucation.com/student, enter the mobile/email used to register for Universal. Your details will appear and can be edited.
To change your mobile number, contact your school’s adminisrator.
No, each student should have a unique mobile number. However, if a student has NO mobile number, this field can be left blank.
Yes, the parents can register more than 1 child using the same number. However you have to use two different unique access keys for each child.
Parents need to register by going to register.xseededucation.com or by scanning the QR code provided in the book pack. They will have to enter all the required details and link themselves with the child’s school using the access key provided by the school.

NOTE: Parents need to register online FIRST before the mobile app will work. They can download the mobile app without having an account, but they will not see anything until they complete the sign-up process at http://register.xseededucation.com/.

Yes, the parents can register more than one child using the same number. However, they have to use two different unique access keys, one for each child.
Please log in: https://universal.xseededucation.com/login using your old credentials. If a student has already registered please do not register again.
The school may register for the parents, but they must enter one contact detail to validate each parent (mobile or email). They will therefore need to be in touch with the parent to get the OTP. Schools may create official school mail ids for each student and register using those – however, the parents will need access to these email ids to access Universal later.
Announcements
1. Click on “Create Announcement”.
2. Select “Recipient” and “Announcement Type”.
3. Write the subject and the message, and hit “Send”.
1. Click on “Create Announcement”.
2. Select recipients, and chage the “Announcement Type” to “Homework”.
3. Write the subject line and the message to describe the homework, and add an attachment if any.
4. Select the due date and time.
5. Hit “Send” to deliver to students instantly.
Yes, this can be done as part of a Homework announcement on Universal. A teacher can give questions or screenshots of images from SuperTeacher in Universal announcements for students to view at home.
Managing Classes/Subjects
1. Click on the Bee icon on Universal.
2. Go to “View Profile” and click “Manage Allotments”.
3. Click “Add new allotment”. Select “Role”, “Subject”, “Class” and “Grades”.
4. Submit the request for Admin approval.
1. Click on the Bee icon on Universal.
2. Go to “Settings” and click “Manage Subject” and then “Academic or co-scholastic”.
3. Select “Grade”, and click on Add Subject and select the subject from the drop-down menu.
4. Save the request.
1. Click on the Bee icon on Universal.
2. Go to “Settings”- Click “Manage Class” – Click on the “+” icon against the grade.
3. Click on Edit Section to set the Name of the section.
4. Save the request.
Teachers can self-sign-up on SuperTeacher and apply their User Code, which will automatically give them access to Universal too.
Sections can be added or removed by using the Manage Sections option in the settings of the Universal SIS. Please see this video and guide for more details on this.
Student Information Zone
1. Click on “Student Information” the from left menu options.
2. Select the grade and section to see the student list.
3. Use the 3 buttons on the right of each student record to add remarks, photos, or certificates. You can add as many remarks, photos, and/or certificates as you want.
Setting up XSEED Universal
School Admin can give access following below mentioned step from his Universal account
1. Click on the Green Bee icon on Universal.(right top Green icon).
2. Go to “View Profile” and click “Manage Allotments”.
3. Click “Add new allotment”. Select “Role”, “Subject”, “Class” and “Grades”.
4. Submit the request for Admin approval.
Only the School Admin can add a new or different subject. Please follow the steps given below from your Universal account:
Step 1 – Click on the green icon at the top, right of the Universal screen.
Step 2 – Go to “Settings” and click “Manage Subject” and then “Academic or Co-scholastic”.
Step 3 – Select “Grade”, and click on “Add Subject” and select the subject from the drop-down menu.
Step 4 – Save the request.

1. Click on “Timetable” and select “Change Time Table( TT) schedule” from the left menu.
2. Click on “Edit template” and select the “Grade” you wish to edit.
3. You can select “Number of periods for all days” and change the time period start and end.
4. Click “Save” to save the changes.
Note: You can clone the Timetable schedule for other grades via the “clone for other grade” option on the top right.

2. Select “Grade” and “Section”.
3. Drag and drop the subject in the required time slots.
4. To make changes, click on the “Slots to Edit” or make the changes in the timetable.
Step 1 – Click on the green icon at the top, right of the Universal screen.
Step 2 – Go to “Settings” and click “Manage Students”. This will give a list of students. Click on the student name.
Step 3 – The School Admin can edit the details of any student by going to the specific cell where a change is needed..

Check the school name in Vtiger and ensure that the same name is used on the Universal app. To change the school name, kindly write an email to contact@xseededucation.com.

School management and teachers can log into the Universal app using their Superteacher credentials. A separate access key is not required. The school admin can also go to ‘Manage User’, select the staff member and add alottments for the staff member. There is a drop down that helps select the year for which you need to add/ view/ update the data?
The School Admin can give access to the class and/or subject information. Please follow the steps given below from your Universal account:
Step 1 – Click the green icon at the top, right of the Universal screen.
Step 2 – Click on your name (teacher) in the top right-hand corner.
Step 3 – Go to “View Profile” and then click “Manage Allotments”.
Step 4 – Click “Add new allotment”. Select “Role”, “Subject”, “Class” and “Grades”.
Step 5 – Submit the request for Admin approval.
The teachers can sign up for Universal on SuperTeacher. They can apply their User Code, which will automatically give them access to Universal.
If the user is not using the SuperTeacher app and wants access to Universal, the School Admin can add them as a new user of Universal by following these steps:
Step 1 – Click on the green icon at the top, right of the Universal screen.
Step 2 – Go to “Settings” and click “Manage Users”. Then, click on “+Add User”.

Follow these steps to create a timetable schedule or template:
Step 1 – Click on “Timetable” and select “Change Time Table (TT) schedule” using the left menu.
Step 2 – Click on “Edit template” in the right, top corner and select the “Grade” you wish to edit.
Step 3 – You can select the number of periods for all the days and change the start and end times of periods.
Step 4 – Click “Save” to save the changes.

Follow these steps to edit or make changes to an existing timetable. You can change the name of the subject, teacher, or whether the class is offline or online:
Step 1 – Click on “Timetable” and select “Add a Class” using the left menu.
Step 2 – Select the “Grade” and “Section” you wish to edit.
Step 3 – Drag and drop the subjects in the required time slots. You can also go to the period or slot you want to edit and choose the subject from the drop-down menu.

Step 5 – Select “Roll” as “Coordinator”.

The current year is displayed in the top, right corner of the Universal screen. Click on the year and choose the previous year from the drop-down menu. Ths feature is not available to newly registered schools.
The school admin can do this using the “Manage Users” option in the Settings of the SIS of Universal. Please see this guide and video for more details on this.
Sections can be added or removed by using the Manage Sections option in the settings of the Universal SIS. Please see this video and guide for more details on this.
Timetable
1. Click on “Timetable” and select “Change TT schedule” from the left menu.
2. Click on “Edit template” and select “Grade” you wish to edit.
3. You can select “Number of periods for all days” and change the time periods start and end.
4. Click save to save the changes.
Note: You can clone the Timetable schedule for other grades via the “clone for other grade” option on the top right.

Yes, this is possible. Timetables can be created for each grade and section. Template is common for a grade (Template includes no of periods, timings of the periods, and no of breaks). Subjects to be taught in each period can be customized per section.
Troubleshooting
There could be multiple reasons for the OTP not working – network issue, service provider issue. Kindly wait for sometime or register with your email id followed by the OTP. If the issue persists, please write to contact@xseededucation.com

When a teacher is creating a Homework announcement, they should choose the announcement type as “Homework” while creating it. If done, the announcement will appear in the “Homework” tab. If not done, then by default, the announcement type will be “General” and when the announcement is created, it will appear in the “All” tab.

The ‘Picture of the Day’ has to be posted by going to Announcement. Then create an announcement and choose the type as ‘Picture of the day’. Probably you are posting it as a general announcement.

The View Announcement feature has been activated for the School Admin and Principal, so they should be able to view all announcements posted by teachers. You can contact XSEED Customer Care by email or phone if you experience a problem.

When creating a homework announcement, teachers should choose “Homework” as the announcement type. The announcement will then appear in the “Homework” tab. If you do not choose the correct announcement type, the announcement type will, by default, be “General” and when the announcement is created, it will appear in the “All” tab.
When posting a picture, the announcement type chosen should be “Picture of the day”. If you select ‘General’, the picture will not be visible as a Picture of the Day.
Using XSEED Universal
Step 1 – Click on “Create Announcement”.

Step 3 – Add the “Title” of the message you want to send in the “Description” section. A file can also be attached in the “Attachment” section. Finally, hit “Send”.

Parents can interact with teachers using the comments section in the announcements. They can also respond to specific remarks for their ward in the Remarks section in the Student Information Zone.
Login and Registration
Step 1 – If your child does not already have an XSEED ID, go to https://register.xseededucation.com/ and enter your XSEED User Code (it is mentioned on the Universal Access Card in your Boook Pack). Complete the registration process to get an XSEED ID.
Step 2. – After the XSEED ID has been created, you will need to enter a School Access Key to gain access to your school. Please contact your school to get this access key.
Step 3 – Download the Universal app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store and login with your phone number or email address. You can also use the web version of Universal at https://universal.xseededucation.com.
Please check your mobile number and country code. It is normal for the OTP to take up to a minute to arrive.

Report Cards
Custom templates for report cards can be created in the Universal SIS settings, in the Manage Reports module, by clicking on the “Create Report” button and following the next steps. Please see the guide and video for more details on this.
The Exam Plan is the structure showing how the marks or grades scored by a student throughout the year, for various types of assessments, roll up to the final report card of the full year’s performance of the student. The module to create such an exam plan is available within the All Products>Records>Exam Plan section of the Universal SIS. Default exam plans are already built into the system to edit as needed.
